Hackettstown Baptist Church seeks to develop fully discipled followers of Jesus Christ who worship Him wholeheartedly, and  serve Him according to their spiritual gift.

To accomplish this we orient our ministry around the actions of:   Loving, Learning, Growing, Going.

  • We love others in the Body and community the way Jesus loved.
  • We are passionate about learning the truths of the Bible and ordering our lives according to it.
  • We seek to grow our trust in Christ through our daily submission to His lead in our lives.
  • Then we go out, move out to serve in as many ways as the Lord opens doors of opportunity.

In these ways we follow the lead of Jesus Christ as the Head of the Church (Eph. 2-5), and rely upon Him for His divine enablement (John 15:5).

OUR VALUES:

  • The Worship of Jesus Christ through every aspect of our lives.     (1 Corinthians 10:31)
  • The Authority of the Word of God – the Bible (2 Timothy 3:16)
  • The Foundational Relationship with Jesus Christ as the basis for His work in & through us. (John 15:1-5)
  • The Priority of Prayer. (Colossians 1:9-11)
  • Godly Leadership (1 Timothy 3)
  • Spiritually strong marriages and families (Ephesians 5 & 6)
  • Fulfilling the support of the “One Anothering” passages in the Body.  (Romans 12, 15)
  • Compassionate Outreach to those in our sphere of influence.       (1 John 3:16-18)

OUR STRATEGY

  • To create connection points for seekers and those looking for a church family…
    • This means outreach events where we offer some type of physical assistance as well as offering the Gospel of Jesus Christ in Scripture.
    • This also includes relating to fellow believers we meet according to Romans 12-15; Galatians 6 etc.
  • To develop self-motivated spiritual growth according to Colossians 1:28-29; 2:5-8; 3:5-12; 4:2-6
  • To recognize the call of God to lead others in spiritual growth and ministry – 2 Timothy 2:2-7
  • To use these principles to guide our praising, reaching, teaching, sharing, serving, and growing.

  • We are an independent Bible believing, Bible based local assembly.  We seek to labor for the Lord Jesus to develop fully discipled followers of Christ, not members of a denomination.  We are not attempting to make “Baptists” out of anyone, only mature Christians that worship and honor Jesus Christ in more and more areas of their lives.
